Toy Story is one of the most beloved franchises ever created. The first movie was released in 1995 and became an immediate sensation. A sequel followed four years later and some felt it was even better than the original. Over a decade later, the trilogy concluded with another strong entry. Toy Story 3 was another commercial and critical success. The animated movie made many “best of the year” lists and is considered as one of the best animated films of all time.
The third installment of the trilogy was bittersweet. At the time, it was thought to be the end of the series. After almost two decades and three films, it was sad to see Buzz Lightyear and Woody leave for the last time. Sure, there were television specials and video games, but none of them were able to capture the magic of the films.
