Natalie Portman sings her life in ‘Vox Lux’ trailer

Natalie Portman stars as a tragic pop star in Vox Lux.

Starring Academy Award winner Natalie Portman and Jude Law, Vox Lux is the story of sisters Celeste and Elanor. After surviving a traumatic tragedy, the two compose a song about the experience in order to help them overcome the event. The song helps catapult the siblings to superstardom.

Almost twenty years later, Celeste (Portman) is a celebrity with a daughter of her own. While she deals with being a mother and a celebrity, another tragedy enters her life. A second trailer featuring Portman in all her pop star regalia debuted today.

Vox Lux premiered on September 7, 2018 at the Venice International Film Festival. It opens in the United States on December 7. The soundtrack to the movie will come out a week later on December 14th.
