Fortnite v8.50 patch lets you fight Thanos with signature Avengers weapons just in time for ‘Avengers: Endgame’

Do you want to wield Captain America’s shield or even Thanos’ Infinity Gauntlet? Try Fornite’s new limited-time Endgame mode.

Fortnite‘s v.850 Patch went live today and just in time for Avengers: Endgame — Thanos, the Mad Titan makes another appearance. (His first being last year’s Infinity Gauntlet Mashup Mode.)

This time around players won’t only be making a play for the Infinity Gauntlet; the new limited-time event will have players scouring the map for all six Infinity Stones after assigning players to either the Hero Team or Team Thanos. The first player to find a Stone will turn them into Thanos and each subsequent Stone found thereafter will augment your powers as well as increase your teammates’ health.

If you’re on the Hero Team, however, dispel the notion of becoming Thanos from your Mind Stone. Don’t worry, though — Heroes will be able to wield signature Avengers weapons, like Captain America’s shield, Iron Man’s repulsor rays, Thor’s Stormbreaker axe and Hawkeye’s bow and arrow (don’t sleep on Hawk-guy, folks).

Get hype for Avengers: Endgame, which hits theaters this Friday with Fortnite‘s Endgame-limited time mode.
