DC has revealed the cover for the second issue of highly anticipated upcoming two-part special, Legion of Super-Heroes: Millennium. The publisher also revealed a new look for several legionnaires and confirmed the return of Superboy to the Legion — much to the delight of countless fans.
The two-part monthly comic will culminate in a new ongoing Legion of Super-Heroes series from Brian Michael Bendis and Ryan Sook.
Bendis is writing both parts of the prelude special, with interior art for issue #2 by Nicola Scott, Jim Cheung and Jeff Dekal. In this issue Superboy receives his Legion flight ring (not that he really needs one). Fans will be happy to know that Millennium writer Brian Michael Bendis has confirmed that replica Legion flight rings are currently in production.
Below you can enjoy the cover of Legion of Super-Heroes: Millennium #2 by Ryan Sook.
The first issue of the two-part special will introduce fans to a version of Supergirl from the near-future as she struggles to deal with her newfound immortality on a journey through the 31st century on a thousand year odyssey to connect all of DC’s future timelines. Artists on the book include Jim Lee, Dustin Nguyen, Andre Sorrentino and André Lima Araújo.
DC has released some artwork from issue #1 drawn by artist André Lima Araújo.
Here we have an interior page from the second issue featuring Booster Gold by Nicola Scott.
