Sigma, Overwatch’s newest hero, is now live

The game’s 31st hero and newest tank is here.

Overwatch hero 31 — Sigma — the game’s newest tank, is now available for play on live servers on both PC and console.

Sigma won’t be available for play in the currently ongoing Competitive Role Lock beta season, but he will be available for play in Season 18.

The eccentric astrophysicist is the game’s newest tank that brings powers of gravity control to bear due to an experiment gone wrong, which appears to have also altered his mental state.

Blizzard has given Sigma a 3-star difficulty rating, the highest a hero can receive.

-Sigma launches two gravitic charges, which bounce off walls and implode after a short duration, damaging enemies within a sizable radius.

Experimental Barrier

-Sigma propels a floating barrier to a location of his choosing. He can dismiss the barrier at any time.

Kinetic Grasp

-Sigma freezes incoming projectiles in midair, converting them into shields.

-Sigma gathers a mass of debris and flings it at an enemy to knock them down.

Gravitic Flux

-Unleashing his full powers, Sigma takes flight, lifts enemies in a targeted area, and launches them into the sky before slamming them back down

As with most heroes, Sigma arrives with four basic skins, two epic and four legendary. Overwatch League teams have already received Sigma skins and are undoubtedly strategizing for how best to implement the game’s newest tank.
