Taz signs multiple year deal with AEW

The mood’s about to change in All Elite Wrestling.

Wrestler turned commentator Taz has signed a multiple year deal with All Elite Wrestling, the company announced on Twitter today.

This move is likely related to yesterday’s news that AEW will be producing a second television show on TNT, which has since been revealed to be a reworking of Dark, a taped show that currently takes place on YouTube. Taz has guest commentated on both Dark and Dynamite in the past — it would now appear those were tryouts of sorts.

Taz entered the national wrestling scene in ECW in the early 1990s, where he became a pillar of the company before leaving to join the World Wrestling Federation in 2000. After two years of active competition, Taz(z) transitioned to a commentary role as injuries began to catch up with him. He is best known as a commentator for his time on the SmackDown brand alongside Michael Cole.
