The MCU is Expanding: First Look at Marvel Studios’ Disney+ Slate

This evening during the Super Bowl, we were treated to not one, but two Marvel trailers. In the first quarter we received a new look at the upcoming Black Widow film. Later, at the start of the fourth quarter, we had our first look at the upcoming Marvel Studios TV slate.

The MCU is coming to Disney+ and the first shows to be released are The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, WandaVision and Loki. All three were featured in the second spot that was jam packed with footage.

Sam and Bucky are the first to premiere later this year and we open with the former practicing with his new shield. Later, we see him in pursuit of some extreme skydivers. Meanwhile, it looks like Bucky is confronting Baron Zemo, who we last saw in Civil War. Sam may have the shield, but there’s a different person who became Captain America’s public successor. There’s a celebratory rally honoring this new hero but we don’t see his face. Could it be Wyatt Russell’s John Walker?

WandaVision’s release date was pushed up from 2021 to this year. In the footage, we see the superhero couple revolving through analogs of different family tv shows throughout different decades. There’s the traditional conservative 60’s black and white sitcom, a Brady Bunch equivalent and an 80’s one down to the hair.

Finally, we have a short glimpse of Loki, who’s ready to raise some hell. Do these quick teasers to each make you excited?
