The Call of Duty Twitter account announced today that Activision and Infinity Ward are treating PC, PS4, and Xbox One owners to a free weekend of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare from April 24-27. Beginning tomorrow, Friday April 24, players can download the multiplayer version of the game and play online until the special event ends on April 27.

During this free access weekend, five maps will be available for those who are taking advantage of the special event. The maps are:
- Aniyah Incursion
- Hideout
- Hovec Sawmill
- Shoot House
- Talsik Backlot
Xbox One gamers will need to make sure they have an Xbox Live Gold subscription to download and play the free content. While PlayStation 4 gamers will need a PlayStation Plus subscription. PC gamers can laugh at console players while they play online without a subscription service, but they will require a battle.net account and the Battlenet launcher (which are both free).
One last tip, ensure you have plenty of free space available as the Warzone client requires over 100GB’s of space to operate. It’s likely that a patch will be coming sometime on Friday as well.
