Top Chef Season 17 Power Rankings: Week 9

After the stress of Restaurant Wars, the chefs go to summer camp…for more stress.

During Week 9 of Top Chef, the contestants reflected on Kevin’s elimination and the fact that such a strong competitor is gone. It’s only going to get harder moving forward. They then learn they’re going away for summer camp. For the quickfire, the most recent winner, Kelsey Barnard Clark, joined Padma and asked them to create a dish showcasing their pick of Bush’s Beans using a grill.

Clark is there to attend a camp for mom’s along with other alum and previous winner, Brooke Williamson, who was the guest judge. For the elimination challenge, the chefs had to create two dishes for a brunch buffet serving 200 mothers in attendance. They could only use what was available in the camp’s pantry.

Bryan finally earned his first elimination win and reenters the top three of the Power Rankings. On the other hand, Lee Ann made one too many errors and was sent to Last Chance Kitchen. Though she had a slight advantage over Kevin because of her background in brunch style foods, she still fell to the Georgia based chef.
