When it comes to Marvel Legends, Hasbro appears to have no intention of stopping the surprise reveals. Yesterday we were hit with the unexpected arrival of an Amazon exclusive Children of Thanos box set.
Marvel Legends Children of Thanos
The five-pack includes MCU versions of Thanos, Proxima Midnight, Ebony Maw, Corvus Glaive, and Cull Obsidian–all figures we’ve gotten before, but with some significant additions/upgrades.
First off, those of you who read my columns regularly (HI MOM!) know I don’t care very much about packaging. That being said, the artwork on the back of this one is absolutely gorgeous.
Marvel Legends Children of Thanos
As far as the actual figures are concerned:
Thanos
- Alternate heads.
- Post snap/charred arm and Infinity Gauntlet.
- Alternate snapping Infinity Gauntlet hand/arm.
Obsidian Cull
- Single release rather than a Build-A-Figure.
- New (and much better) weapon.
- Significantly more screen accurate appearance than the 2018 BAF.
Proxima Midnight
- Significant color differences from the 2017 release.
- Additional Sword accesory.
Ebony Maw
- Major color scheme differences in both skin tone and costume compared to the 2019 release.
Corvus Glaive
- Not in a 2-pack with Loki this time, but looks pretty much the same as the 2019 release (at least to me).
