Marvel Legends: Into the Spiderverse Wave revealed!

…along with a few more surprises.

During Hasbro’s Fan First Friday livestream event, the long awaited Into the Spiderverse/Stilt-Man BAF wave of Marvel Legends figures was revealed. We also got a look at a new Thanos along with some House of X/Power of X future releases.

Before getting to those, though, let’s review the new Spider-Man figures that will be gracing our toy shelves. We already saw a few of these at PulseCon in September, but now we have a bit more information regarding their accessories, BAF parts, and expected arrival dates.

Into the Spider-Verse Wave

Miles Morales

When rumors/news first started popping up about this wave, I wasn’t sure I’d like the animated style of the figures. Seeing it now, however, it’s clear that the design totally works — at least for this one. In addition to the great likeness, Miles comes with an alternate masked head, alternate hands, and invisi-pin articulation.

The figure will retail for $19.99 is available now for preorder with an expected arrival in February.

Peter B. Parker

Eh…this character design just doesn’t do it for me. I like the partially masked head a little better, but not enough to put this one on my shopping list. If you want Stilt-Man, though, then you’ll have to pick it up to get Wilbur Day‘s head. The figure also comes with two alternate sets of hands and a soda.

Peter B. Parker will retail for $19.99 and is available now for preorder with an expected arrival in February.

Gwen Stacy

I don’t like this figure quite as much as Miles, but it also comes with an animated version of Spider-Ham. The alternate hands and head are nice, but c’mon…it’s the John Mulaney version of SPIDER-HAM!!

Gwen Stacy and Peter Porker will retail for $19.99 and are available now for preorder with an expected arrival in February. This might be one of the rare times in toy buying when it feels like we’re getting more for our money instead of less.

Prowler

The colors and design on this one are so good that I almost wish we got a realistic version instead. That said, the animated figure still looks beautiful. I would be nice we got some accessories (even the subpar movie toy had some), but at least you get Stilt-Man’s briefcase.

Prowler will retail for $19.99 and is available now for preorder with an expected arrival in February.

Now let’s take a look at the comic universe characters for the wave.

Frog-Man

Ridiculous character from Spider-Man’s supporting cast? Check.

Immediately purchased without a second thought? Double Check. (Don’t judge).

Frog-Man will retail for $19.99 and is currently available for preorder with an expected arrival in February.

Hand Ninja

Great design, great accessories, and the leg extender parts for Stilt-Man. When you combine all with this figure’s status as an army builder, it’s no surprise the the Hand Ninja is already selling out. Also, the more ninjas you buy, the taller your Stilt-Man can get!

You can try to snag one these if you want, but as of this morning the preorders at Amazon had been obliterated with Target exclusive-esque speed. If/when it comes back in stock, the figure will retail for $19.99.

Build-A-Figure Stilt-Man

Maybe it’s because I’m already cursed with toys who like to fall from my shelves, but this isn’t one I’ll be trying to add to my collection. That said, it’s a great looking figure that should make for some really cool dioramas/displays — especially if you’ve got a Daredevil shelf.

Now let’s take a look at Thanos and some future X-Men releases.

Deluxe Thanos

ARGH! I was perfectly happy with previous Marvel Legends Thanos. Then this one has to come along with a King Thanos head and an alternate snapping hand.

The figure will retail for $29.99 and is available for preorder now (with an expected arrival in March 2021), but is already selling out most places.

House of X Wave/Power of X wave

I’m not a huge X-Men fan anymore, but these 3D renders look great–especially the Wolverine with thick claws. There will be a more figures and a BAF with this wave that will be revealed at a later date.

Not my thing, but definitely a cool addition for those who like army building their AIM ranks.

Miscellaneous news and reveals

  • There will be more Pulse army builders in the future.
  • Characters from pre-MCU films are possible (but didn’t sound likely).
  • MODOK is coming
