Yesterday, Borys Kit of the Hollywood Reporter exclusively revealed that Ethan Hawke will be playing the lead villain in Disney+’s upcoming Moon Knight series starring Oscar Isaac. Hawke and Disney have yet to comment on the report, but it was quickly confirmed by Variety, as well.
So what role will Ethan Hawke be portraying as he does battle with Marc Spector? Well, as much as I personally want to see a Moon Knight vs. Taskmaster showdown, the popular theory right now is that Hawke will be playing Bushman.

If you’re not a comic reader, then all you really need to know is that Bushman is a mercenary who betrayed and nearly killed Marc Spector during a job. That near death experience is what ended up linking Spector with Khonshu, the Egyptian god of the moon…and someone I also wouldn’t be surprised at all to see Hawke portray considering the pair’s adversarial relationship in the comics these days.
Whatever the case, the Moon Knight series is starting to build one heck of a good cast.
