On Friday, IGN featured a great segment on the upcoming Invincible animated series during their IGN 2021 Fan Fest.
In addition to an extended clip, they also interviewed series writer/creator Robert Kirkman along with the voice cast members Steven Yeun (Mark Grayson), J.K. Simmons (Omni-Man), Gillian Jacobs (Atom Eve), Zazie Beets (Amber Bennett), and Jason Mantzoukas (Rex Splode).

Invincible (IGN Fan Fest 2021)
The entire thing is definitely worth watching, but here are the main “newsy” highlights:
- The series is an hour long drama that just happens to be animated…and extremely mature/violent.
- Unlike most superhero stories, the good guys don’t always win. Also, when something bad/major happens, it remains a part of the story instead of being retconned back to the status quo.
- A live action Invincible movie is still in the works.
Here is the extended clip, which features Mark Grayson’s bizarre life as a teenager with a superhero father and the first time his powers show up.
The first three episodes of Invincible will premiere March 26 exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.
