Matthew Robinson to pen script for ‘Star Wars: Rogue Squadron’

Patty Jenkins’ Star Wars film has found its writer.

Yesterday, Borys Kit of the Hollywood Reporter exclusively revealed that Matthew Robinson will be writing to script for Disney’s upcoming Star Wars: Rogue Squadron film. Kit’s report goes on to say that the film is aiming to start production this fall.

Robinson’s recent projects include two major films currently in development: Live, Die, Repeat and Repeat (the sequel to 2014’s Edge of Tomorrow) and the Warner Bros. remake of Little Shop of Horrors.

“Remake me, Seymour!”

Star Wars: Rogue Squadron was announced back in December at Disney’s Investor Day event with Patty Jenkins directing. It is currently slated for release in December of 2023.

No plot details have leaked yet, but Jenkins plans to make a galactic dogfighting movie that will knock our socks off.
