Stranger Things 4: Netflix releases new teaser, confirms 2022 release

Although it’s not the full trailer we’ve been waiting for, Netflix released another teaser for Stranger Things 4 on Friday while also confirming a 2022 release.

Although it’s not the full trailer we’ve been waiting for, Netflix released another teaser for Stranger Things 4 on Friday while also confirming a 2022 release.

Before you watch it, I’ll caution you not to get your hopes up for any big revelations. Like previous Stranger Things teasers, this one doles out very little information. In fact, 19 seconds of its 30 second runtime consists of footage from the first three seasons.

Like I said, there’s not much to parse through or speculate about.

The most shocking moment is obviously the one featuring Eleven being taken into custody. There’s also a shot of Hopper wielding a flamethrower, which is undoubtedly something to look forward to.

As far as what month the new season debuts, Kelsie Gibson over at PopSugar.com makes a great case for it being Valentine’s Day 2022.

Each season of Stranger Things has been centered around a different holiday:

With filming for Season 4 wrapping this month, that would put the series’ usual 7-8 month post production timeline in range of mid-February.

Whatever the release date ends up being, however, it’ll be great to finally see what extradimensional hijinks these beloved and wonderful character get up to this time.
