It’s fair to say the Sony PlayStation Showcase 2021 was a huge success, especially now that we know there’s an official Wolverine video game on the way. Made by Insomniac, some were likely wondering if a Spider-Man sequel might be delayed, but no, a trailer for Spider-Man 2 revealed it’s still on the way and set to come out in 2023.
Not only that, but the trailer features narration from Kraven and the reveal that Venom will be tormenting both Miles Morales and Spider-Man in the sequel. After checking that trailer out, make sure to check out the three easter eggs we noticed in the Wolverine trailer.
Watch the trailer below.
The trailer features Miles and Spider-Man fighting side by side–is co-op coming to the game–along with mechanical arms originally introduced with the Iron Spider suit. That suit–done up in an iconic red and gold–featured only three arms instead of four.
What could this mean? The conspiracy theorist in me is wondering if those arms have something to do with the Superior Spider-Man run when Doc Ock took over Spider-Man’s body. They look very similar to the arms he used in the series. Take a look below.
If this sequel even references Superior Spider-Man you can call me a very happy camper.
