‘Slasher: Flesh & Blood’ season finale review: Killer revealed & a winner

Love, hate, and the end of the season.

The story so farAfter the remaining Galloways set their differences aside, they finally are able to catch who has been killing them off. Before they can do this, two more victims are eliminated. But now that killer has been revealed even more questions arise: how have they managed to eliminate everyone and why have they done it? And now that they have been caught, what happens with all of the money?

The final moments of the last episode really seem to write Slasher: Flesh & Blood into a corner. The revelation was a shocking one that does not work even with the tiniest amount of thought. Even worse, it sounds like the show is going to explain everything with a throwaway line. Thankfully, this is not the case, as a full explanation is given along with a flashback. It requires lots of luck and suspension of disbelief, but it is far from the most nonsensical thing seen this season. Audiences will be able to accept what has happened. Wisely, the show does not linger over how the killer accomplished their acts.

This means the finale focuses on a different side of the mystery. There has been the entire Galloway fortune to give to the one winner. This person would presumably be the last person living. The episode starts with three people who all seem to be on the same page. Things devolve quickly in one of the more surprising parts of Slasher. Things especially work themselves out, but it all seems rather rushed.

Slasher saved the best for last as the kills in the last episode are some of the most brutal seen. One in particular has the trademark over the top blood and gore that has become a trademark for the show. There is another kill that is much more initiate. The killer has been comically elaborate in their methods and this kill will completely catch the audience off guard. Its simplicity is honest and is arguably the best way for the deaths to end.

In the end, is the season worth a watch? Horror fans and gore hounds will enjoy the creative kills the show is able to deliver. Though it is simple and sometimes has a tendency to be placed on the back burner, the mystery should be enough to satisfy people who like thrillers. The ending is well done and will keep viewers guessing up until its final moments. Slasher: Flesh & Blood is an overall fun and suspenseful watch.
