The Dragon Ball Super area this year at NYCC was every 90s kid’s dream come true. It was guarded by a giant Oozaru Vegeta and life-size statues of the Z Warriors and the Ginyu Force were available for fans to pose with and snap some pictures.
The booth had toys galore, from mini Dragon Ball Adverge figures to action figures I wish I had as a kid to detailed statues with triple-digit price tags. Cards from the Dragon Ball Super card game were on display and outside the booth, fans were duking it out in Dragon Ball FighterZ.
The most impressive display was a diorama showing off the iconic battles from DBZ’s Frieza saga. My personal favorite was the statue of Goku doing his Dragon Fist move with a golden dragon behind him from Tamashii Nations.
