On Tuesday, Hasbro revealed the first official photos of their upcoming Figrin D’an figure, which was teased as a pipeline reveal back in October. The images were posted to French Star Wars site StarWars-Universe.com in anticipation of Wednesday’s Fan First livestream on Hasbro Pulse.
Even if you aren’t an expert on Star War’s mythology, you likely recognize Figrin D’an as one of the Bith musicians who makes up the cantina band (formally known as the Figrin D’an and the Modal Nodes) in A New Hope. Contrary to popular belief, the character did not appear in The Book of Boba Fett playing a fantastic Latin version of the Catina Band song.
That said, he’s likely the most well-known Star Wars musician aside from Max Rebo (who also needs a new figure or at least a rerelease).
The figure comes with Figrin D’an’s trademark Kloo horn along with a fizzz and fanfar, allowing him to stand in for Modal Node band members Doikk Na’ts and Tedn Dahai respectively. The sculpt, paint, and articulation also look fantastic. Add in the aforementioned accessories, and this one is an absolute must buy–especially if you’re a Star Wars fan who’s also a musician.
