On Friday, Hasbro presented SDCC with a slate of new reveals, including a few figures that absolutely no one could have guessed were being made. This first one, however, was a foregone conclusion.
Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends 3-pack
In addition to a gorgeous Spidey figure, this set features two a beautiful Firestar, a decent animated Iceman (and his own base), and a Ms. Lion accessory. Even if you aren’t a fan of the original animated series these characters on based on, it’s still worth picking up. Let’s just hope it costs less than the other 3-pack Hasbro recently released.
No official word on the price point, but Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends will be available for preorder on Saturday at 5:00 PM EST exclusively from Hasbro Pulse.
Tesseract Electronic Roleplay Accessory & Loki Figure
I’m not usually a fan of roleplay toys, but this one might be worth it just for the fantastic MCU Loki figure. That said, the Tesseract does look really cool.
Unfortunately, no price has been released as of this writing. The set will be available for preorder from most major retailers on Saturday at 5:00 PM EST.
Heralds of Galactus 2-pack
Fallen One and Terrax aren’t my favorite characters by any stretch, but their figures do look really cool. Unfortunately, Marvel Legends’ current pricing (which has not been revealed for this set yet) has almost completely eliminated the chance of any impulse buys.
If you want these figures, however, they’ll be available for preorder exclusively from Hasbro Pulse on Saturday at 5:00 PM EST.
Retro Collection Scorpion
I prefer my Scorpion figures to be shiny, but this is a good one to pick up if you still need him on your Spidey villain shelf. No price point yet, but it will be available for preorder from most major retailers on Saturday at 5:00 PM.
Retro Collection Beast
This, on the other hand, is about as good of a Beast figure as you could ask for. Just like the previous reveals, it will be available for preorder from most major retailers on Saturday at 5:00 PM.
The following figures won’t be available for preorder this weekend, but they are coming soon. A few are also some of the craziest (in a good way) character choices I’ve seen.
There will only be one picture per character posted here from MarvelousNews.com, who got a boatload of great shots at the convention. Be sure to click here and check out their extensive gallery (well over 100 photos) of all the figures from Hasbro’s SDCC booth.
Razorback
I love obscure Spidey villains, but even this one might be too deep a cut for me. Oh, who am I kidding…it’s a must-buy!
Human Fly
Okay, this one might really be too obscure to take up space on the shelf.
Classic Loki
Even if you didn’t watch/like the Loki series, who wouldn’t want an action figure of Richard E. Grant?
Kang
…or Jonathan Majors–especially with how great he was as Kang? I know my fellow Lovecraft Country fans are with me on this one.
Howard the Duck with Ant-Man head
I typically stay away from animated MCU stuff, but I’m not sure I’ve ever needed a non-Spider-Man toy/set more in my life.
Sentry
Great figure. Unfortunately, that alternate Void head represents what a lot of us felt like after learning it’s a Walgreens exclusive.
Agony
Definitely gotta add this one to the Symbiote Shelf.
Riot
Even if I didn’t have a shelf dedicated to symbiotes, this big beautiful blue boy would be a must-buy.
Hatut Zeraze
Wakanda’s Secret police will be released as an incredible-looking army builder figure.
Comic Black Panther
Just when you think Hasbro can’t make a Black Panther any better than before…
The Marvel Legends team concluded their panel by hinting that their next HasLab project would feature Ghost Rider.
