On Wednesday, Hasbro’s Marvel Legends team held a live stream to unveil some new figures. We’ll kick things off with the upcoming Spider-Man 5-pack that includes some of the figures we saw at San Diego Comic-Con.
Spider-Man 5-pack
If you were hoping to snag Razorback or the Human Fly individually, then I’ve got some bad news.
Thankfully, the two very-obscure-yet-highly-anticipated figures will be accompanied by Molten Man, Silvermane, and a really great comic version of Ultimate Spider-Man from when he wore the Venom symbiote.
I’ve never been a big Silvermane fan and Molten Man looks a bit waxy for my taste. Surprisingly, the Ultimate Spider-Man is the one that really stands out. It’s so good that I would have no problem adding it to my already overcrowded Spidey shelves…if it was single-carded.
If you are down to buy all these figures, however, then the set will go up for preorder on Thursday at 1:00 PM EST. It’s also an Amazon exclusive, so there should be plenty for everyone.
Now let’s take a look at the new Disney+ wave. Each figure will retail for $24.99 and be available for preorder on Thursday at 1:00 PM EST. They’ll also come in that horrible plastic-free packaging, but I think we’ve all resigned ourselves to online purchases, anyway.
What If…? Zombie Scarlet Witch
I don’t normally collect MCU figures, but this one might be an exception. In addition to being a great character from my favorite What If…? episode, it’s an eerily accurate representation of what I look like when people defend Hasbro’s recent price increases.
What If…? Zombie Iron Man
This figure looks good, but I’ve already got enough Iron Men on my shelves without adding an undead one.
What If…? Red Skull
That’s honestly a great Red Skull figure no matter what collection you put him in.
What If…? Howard the Duck (w/Ant-Man head)
We already mentioned back during SDCC that this was a must-buy. That analysis has not changed.
Loki Classic Loki
What’s better than a Richard E. Grant action figure? A Richard E. Grant action figure that comes with an alternate grimacing head and effect accessories!
Loki He-Who-Remains (aka Kang)
I love Jonathan Majors in this role, but I think I’ll wait to see him in a more classic Kang look when Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania comes out.
WandaVision Agent Jimmy Woo
The figure’s sculpt and clothing detail look great, but I’m confused about the facial portrait. Instead of Randall Park, it looks almost exactly like Mr. Fantastic from Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Build-A-Figure Khonshu
I didn’t care much for Moon Knight (don’t @ me), but that BAF of the Egyptian god is absolutely gorgeous.
The panel finished with a tease of a character who is clearly going to be an accessory for Mole Man.
