Back in April, one particular figure from the Marvel Legends wave for Thor Love and Thunder had folks up in arms. No matter how well Christian Bale portrayed Gorr the God Butcher, the character’s plastic representation was a far cry from what he looks like in the comics.
This week, however, Hasbro unveiled a comic version of the character (via Screen Rant) that is sure to make folks happy…as long as you don’t think about the price.
As you can see, the figure’s sculpt and paint job look fantastic. It comes with an alternate hooded head and a sword hand (which is canonical to how Gorr wields it in the comics).
The figure is an Amazon exclusive, which means it should be pretty easy to track down. It also retails for $29.99, which is less than a deluxe figure, but more than the $24.99-$27.99 range we’ve been seeing. Considering the lack of accessories, the price likely represents an attempt by Hasbro to see if they can push up their base figure price a bit.
That said, it does look really good. If you want to add the comic version of Gorr to your Marvel Legends collection, it will be available for preorder on Tuesday, August 30 at 1:00 PM EST with an expected arrival this October. Check out some more pictures below!
