New ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’ trailer gives us our best look yet at M.O.D.O.K.

…along with Jonathan Majors in a surprisingly comic-accurate Kang costume.

During last night’s Great Toad Massacre of 2023 College Football Playoff National Championship, Marvel Studios released a new trailer for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Unlike the trailer we saw back in October, this one gives us a much better look at the movie’s plot and characters — including one very large-headed psychopath.

As you can see, Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) is looking to make up for the time he lost his daughter Cassie (Kathryn Newton) — both from the Blip and likely from some of his questionable life decisions.

Unfortunately, Lang decides to enlist the help of Kang (Jonathan Majors), which is surely going to result in all types of time/space catastrophes. In addition to Majors looking predictably awesome in the role, we also get to see him rocking a much more comic-accurate appearance than most folks expected.

All of that is more than enough to generate excitement. In addition to the fantastic visuals, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania looks like it will put the Laing family in its most perilous situation yet — one with stakes on par with Thanos.

But then, for just a few glorious seconds, Mr. George Tarleton (aka M.O.D.O.K.) makes his first onscreen appearance in the MCU.

Even those of us who love M.O.D.O.K. will readily admit that it’s a challenge to make him look intimidating. Director Peyton Reed may have just pulled it off.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will debut in theatres on February 17.

UPDATE: Jordan Blum captured a great split-second shot of MODOK with what appears to be a flesh/human face. It appears the look we see in the gif above will be some sort of armor (which is even more awesome).
