How Marvel can bring Vision back to the MCU

Dying does not have to be the end.

If you are aware of most of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s content, you know that the cybernetic being named Vision which started out as a vocal A.I. named JARVIS for Tony Stark, was killed off the series quite a few times. First, he was killed by his love interest Scarlet Witch, or Wanda Maximoff, in order to destroy the mind stone that was on his forehead. Then Thanos used the time stone to bring Vision back only to take the mind stone for himself and kill the Avenger. The final time was when Wanda gave up on her little make-believe dream of having a family with the robot in the show WandaVision.

Just to be clear, being dead in the MCU does not mean that the character is written out completely. There have been plenty of characters that have come back after audiences thought that it was game over for them. Vision has proved himself to be a valiant hero with his formidable strength and one of the only characters to lift Thor’s hammer. Moreover, I have a few ideas as to how they could bring him back for Secret Wars.

Much like the multiversal split that occurred in Spider-Man: No Way Home, another similar incident could plague our heroes, which may involve Vision coming back and reuniting with Wanda. The only downside is that it may not be the same Vision from the earlier films and may instead prove to be an alternate reality Vision that may not even remember Wanda or any of the Avengers.

Another way could be through the use of the infinity stones. Understandably, the stones were destroyed in Endgame, but that didn’t stop them from making an appearance in the Loki series, where Loki was stunned to see them being used as paper weights in a TVA office. The stones could play a pivotal role in making another incarnation of Vision and using him to battle Kang the Conqueror. If Ultron was able to use the mind stone to make the initial Vision, there is no denying it could work again.

How Marvel can bring Vision back to the MCU

So, if we do see the red hero grace the silver screen once more, let’s just hope they don’t underutilize him like in Infinity War. Of course, that might be a tall order given the number of characters in the forthcoming movies.
