On Thursday, Hasbro revealed a new two-pack for their Marvel Legends line featuring two beloved characters from the 1990s Spider-Man animated series. If you weren’t completely happy with the previously revealed Dock Ock and Aunt May set, this new Green Goblin and Mary Jane Watson one should do the trick.
Even if you aren’t a fan of animated-style characters, that Green Goblin looks pretty great — especially the demented-looking Norman Osborne alternate head. As for Mary Jane, the figure is a spot-on recreation of how she appeared in the series.

In addition to the great sculpts and paint, both figures are blessedly free of the cel-shading effect that has been used on many of the other retro figures. This particular set will also be packaged in a VHS-style box, although Hasbro has yet to release any images of it. As someone who doesn’t care about packaging, even I really want to see what it will look like.
Hasbro also hasn’t released any pricing or preorder info yet except that the set will be Hasbro Pulse exclusive. Hopefully the company produces enough for everyone who will want this.
