‘Wonder Woman’ #1 sells out and goes back to print

Check out the new ‘Wonder Woman’ #1 second printing cover by Jim Lee.

DC Comics has revealed that Wonder Woman #1 has sold out at the distributor level and is returning for a second printing. If you missed it at your comic shop, the second printing will be available on October 24 (FOC on October 1).

It’s no surprise the issue sold out, partly because Tom King and Daniel Sampere are some of the best creators in the business but also because it’s so damn good.

As I said in my review, “Wonder Woman #1 is an intelligent thriller with a complex story looking at our culture composed for modern comic readers. Along the way, it features Wonder Woman showing off her abilities while trying to navigate a complex situation that only she can resolve. She’s the target against an enemy threatening all of America because she may be the only thing to save us.”

Sampere said via Twitter, “These guys made me want to work on comics, and now we are getting a cover from them because we’ve sold out. I can’t ask for more. Thank you.”

Tom King added, “This is very cool. The new Wonder Woman #1 cover completes the Jim Lee DC Trilogy Triptych. With Superman on the left, Wonder Woman in the middle, and Batman on the right. Love that.”

That’s not all, DC also revealed the second printing will feature a new cover by Jim Lee.
