Pedro Pascal will play the MCU’s Mr. Fantastic in ‘Fantastic Four’ out in 2025

Reed Richards has been cast for ‘Fantastic Four’ and it’s Pedro Pascal!

It has been revealed Pedro Pascal will be our Reed Richards, aka Mr. Fantastic, in the upcoming Fantastic Four film. I guess Chip Zdarsky wasn’t available. Talking about who could play Mr. Fantastic–let alone the rest of the First Family–has been a trendy topic the last few years, but it looks like we officially have our first piece of the puzzle. The news was first reported by Daniel RPK.

It was rumored Adam Driver would get the role earlier this year, but those rumors were eventually dashed.

Pascal makes a lot of sense, especially since he’s got comedy chops, as seen on SNL, and great dramatic range. One can imagine Mr. Fantastic will require a certain level of comedy to be pulled off adequately. He’s also closely tied to Disney, as it is with his huge hit The Mandalorian.

Now, who will be Thing, Human Torch, and Invisible Woman? If they’re casting this early, we’ll likely be finding out soon enough.

Fantastic Four will debut on May 2, 2025, so filming needs to start sometime next year. The film will be directed by Josh Friedman and Jeff Kaplan.

What do you think of the news? Is this a good pick? Let us know in the comments!
