Winter is on the horizon and it promises potential Game of the Year contenders to release week after week. Sandwiched between them are plenty of indie games to ensure it’ll be impossible for you to not find exciting video games to play and fall in love with.

Let’s check out what video games are hitting storefronts this week.

Batman Arkham Trilogy (12/1)

Platform: Switch

Rocksteady’s acclaimed Batman games make their way to the Nintendo Switch with Batman Arkham Trilogy. It’ll collect AsylumCity, and Knight all in one package as well as the games’ DLC. Asylum is a tight stealth adventure, while City lets players explore an open world Gotham. Batman Arkham Knights goes off the rails a bit with its tank gameplay, but concludes the trilogy enjoyably. If you’ve yet to experience the Batman Arkham games, now is the time to do so!

Arcadian Atlas (11/30)

Platforms: PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S

After releasing in the summer for PC, Arcadian Atlas arrives on consoles this week. It’ s a Final Fantasy Tactics-inspired RPG with turn-based strategic battles and gorgeous pixel art graphics. Its choice-based narrative follows two lovers caught up in a civil war engulfing the kingdom.

Steamworld Build (12/1)

Platforms: PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S

The post-apocalyptic Steamworld series is back with Steamworld Build. You’ll build and manage a mining town, keep your robotic residents happy, repair a mine shaft, and mine for ores and resources to expand your town. Rumor has it ancient technology lies in wait underground amidst alien enemies, and it’s up to you to discover it.
