My Hero Academia: Vigilantes is a spinoff manga from Hideyuki and Betten Court that takes place prior to the flagship series created by Kohei Horikoshi. It was adapted into an anime, and streaming platform Crunchyroll released an all-new trailer to give fans a sneak peek ahead of its April 7 premiere.
The story follows a college student named Koichi Haimawari, who gave up on his dream to become a hero. Despite 80% of the world’s population possessing superpowers called Quirks, only a select few are chosen to assume the role of hero and protect the general population. One day, Koichi and Pop☆Step are saved by a vigilante named Knuckleduster and he recruits the duo to follow in his footsteps.

The series is directed by Kenichi Suzuki, written by Yosuke Kuroda, with animation produced by bones film. The anime will stream exclusively on Crunchyroll worldwide excluding Asia with new episodes premiering weekly on the same day as Japan.
