Resident Evil 4 producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi confirms new RPG

Hiroyuki Kobayashi, recently announced his upcoming RPG with his new studio, GPTRACK50.

The former producer of Resident Evil, Devil May Cry and several other titles, Hiroyuki Kobayashi, recently announced his upcoming RPG with his new studio, GPTRACK50. And, he revealed to fans that the game will be completely different from his past projects.

After leaving Capcom, Kobayashi founded his own company, GPTRACK50, which NetEase funds. During an interview with Famitsu, first reported by Automaton Media, he disclosed that GPTRACK50 plans on officially announcing the game in a few months. He stated, “While I can’t reveal any details yet, everything is going as planned. In our New-Year’s greeting card for 2025, I said I wanted to announce it by the end of the year, and as a man of my word, I want to keep that promise.”

Hiroyuki Kobayashi breathes new life into action RPGs

Kobayashi explained that the game would be more action-packed than his past projects such as Resident Evil and Devil May Cry. He also teased that the upcoming title will be different from anything the action game genre has ever seen.
