Marvel Comics is throwing a party for the Muppets’ 70th anniversary, with a Marvel twist! Today, Marvel has released even more Muppet fun, following the reveal of a few covers back in July.
This October, Kermit, Miss Piggy, Fozzie, and the whole gang will appear across 10 special variant covers on select Marvel comics. Each piece, illustrated by some of Marvel’s top artists, reimagines legendary Marvel covers through the wacky lens of Jim Henson’s beloved crew.
The Muppets have been parodying pop culture for decades, and now they’re taking aim at Marvel’s greatest hits. Expect homages to Spider-Man’s first appearance, the original Secret Wars, and more—with outrageous mashups like The Electric Mayhem uniting as the Avengers and Miss Piggy showing off her best Thanos impression with the Infinity Gauntlet.
