BOOM! Studios, the exclusive home for official Power Rangers comics, has exclusively revealed via AIPT that they’re teaming up with Hasbro for a brand-new one-shot this holiday season. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Zord Quest #1 arrives December 31, 2025, written by Joey Esposito (Batman: Urban Legends) with art by Gavin Smith (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles).
The story asks: What truly makes someone a hero? After a crushing battle with the villainous Madame Axe-A-Lot, the Rangers are left shaken and unsure of themselves. To rediscover their strength, each Ranger must embark on a spiritual journey to the awe-inspiring places tied to their Zords—where they’ll face the ultimate test of heart and character.
The issue features a main cover by Gavin Smith, alongside variant covers by Casey W. Coller and Sean Von Gorman. Fans can pre-order now through their local comic shop, with digital editions available on Kindle, iBooks, and Google Play.
Zord Quest is the latest addition to BOOM!’s celebrated lineup, which includes original hits like BRZRKR, Something is Killing the Children, Grim, Rare Flavours, and Ghostlore, as well as licensed favorites like Dune: House Corrino, The Expanse: Dragon Tooth, and Power Rangers Prime.
