Dark Horse Comics is kicking off 2026 with laughs and hellfire in Touched by a Demon, a new horror-comedy miniseries from Kristen Gudsnuk, creator of Henchgirl and the bestselling Making Friends. Written and illustrated by Gudsnuk, the four-issue series debuts in comic shops this January.
So what’s Touched by a Demon about:
Bifrons, a washed-up demon stuck in Hell, misses the good old days when he lived in Heaven. Looking for a shot at redemption, he sets up shop on Earth as a life coach for mortals, determined to rack up enough good deeds to earn his way back upstairs. With help from his loyal assistant Zuzu and a soul named Elaine, he tries to guide humans toward salvation. But the big question remains: can a creature of pure evil really change—or is he doomed to fail?
“I’ve always been fascinated by the way people wrestle with the gap between who they are and who they want to be,” Gudsnuk explained. “Bifrons is a demon who’s starting to regret his choices, but he might not be equipped to fix them. The series plays with that tension, alongside my love for self-help books, quirky apps, and even bizarre movies like 12 Christmas Wishes for My Dog. I’m thrilled to be making comics for adults again!”
Release details:
