BOOM! Studios saddles up for new ‘My Little Pony’ adventures

BOOM! Studios has officially partnered with Hasbro to publish brand-new My Little Pony comics.

BOOM! Studios has officially partnered with Hasbro to publish brand-new My Little Pony comics, bringing the beloved franchise — and its message of friendship and magic — to a new generation of readers.

“At its heart, My Little Pony has always been about storytelling that inspires kindness, confidence, and connection,” said Marianne James, Hasbro’s Senior Vice President of Global Licensing. “Together with BOOM! Studios, we’re continuing that tradition with fresh tales that honor the legacy fans love while welcoming new readers into the fold.”

First teased during New York Comic Con 2025, the new line of My Little Pony comics will debut from BOOM! in late 2026. Ahead of the launch, fans can also look forward to a BOOM! Direct Reserve Campaign on Kickstarter in early 2026, which will collect previous My Little Pony comic runs, following in the footsteps of BOOM!’s current Jem and the Holograms campaign.

“Since its debut in 1982, My Little Pony has been a symbol of friendship and adventure,” said Michael Kelly, Publisher at BOOM! Studios. “We’re thrilled to craft new stories for the Mane 6 that continue the spirit of Friendship Is Magic and delight fans everywhere.”

My Little Pony has been published by IDW for a number of years prior to this new partnership.
