Upper Deck is closing out its DC and hockey crossover line with a final set that leans into dual identities and collectible tech. The company announced the release of DC x NHL “Secret Identity,” a trading card series that pairs some of the league’s biggest names with a comic-inspired twist.
As a licensed partner with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products, the NHL, and the NHLPA, Upper Deck has spent the last few releases blending superhero iconography with hockey culture. This final set brings that idea into sharper focus. It’s not just about star power, it’s about identity. Each card highlights who these players are on the ice and who they are beyond it, using flip lenticular technology to shift between the two.
The 12-player lineup reads like a who’s who of the modern NHL, mixing established legends and rising talent. The set includes Sidney Crosby, Connor McDavid, Alex Ovechkin, Auston Matthews, Nathan MacKinnon, David Pastrnak, Matthew Tkachuk, Cale Makar, Connor Hellebuyck, Jack Hughes, Cole Caufield, and Ivan Demidov. Not only does the roster span generations, but it also reflects the league’s evolving global reach and style of play.
Collectors who complete the full set will unlock an achievement bonus card featuring Superman and his civilian counterpart, Clark Kent, reinforcing the theme at the heart of the release.
“We’re thrilled to offer this fourth and final DC x NHL crossover set as we continue to bridge the gap between sports and entertainment collectibles,” said Jason Masherah, President of Upper Deck. “It’s been incredible to merge two of our major licenses and create an unparalleled product for collectors. For this set, we used one of our most popular technologies to really enhance the experience for anyone who gets their hands on these cards.”
The DC x NHL “Secret Identity” set is available now through Upper Deck’s e-Pack platform. Packs are priced at $19.99 and include one card each. The release is time-limited, with availability running through May 2, 2026, in the early morning hours. Cards are delivered digitally first, then printed and shipped at a later date.
