Rick Remender and Dan Panosian’s ‘Hammerfist’ starts turning heads after teaser drop

‘Hammerfist’ is your ‘new favorite character’ according to Image Comics.

Teased on Saturday, Image Comics got the internet excited for an upcoming series, with only Dan Panosian’s name used in the teaser info. That said, it appears the series is titled Hammerfist, and written by Rick Remender, if an advertisement in Dust to Dust #8 is to be believed, which came out on April 29th.

While Remender’s name isn’t attached, his label, Giant Generator, is emblazoned on the art.

Check out that ad below.

While the ad makes this look like a crime fiction comic, the new art that is posted on x.com leans more heavily into superhero territory.

Note the almost Hellboy-esque fist with cracked lava spewing out. Whether his fist can change into that rock/lava thing, or if it was a change in character, remains to be seen. That said, it’s likely out in August 2026 with solicitations for August coming later this month.

Stay tuned to AIPT as we’ll have the full press release and news as it arrives later today!
