DC has revealed its first wave of young reader graphic novels for spring 2027, featuring new stories starring Supergirl, Green Lantern, Wonder Girl, Gotham Academy favorites, and an all-new DC hero. The publisher also announced a major expansion of its popular Compact Comics format with the debut of DC Compact Comics Adventures.
Designed for readers of all ages, the new publishing slate spans Early Reader, Middle Grade, and Young Adult graphic novels while introducing affordable, portable editions of fan-favorite all-ages comics.
Among the highlights is Supergirl’s Zoo-per Heroes: Scent of Justice by Rob Justus, a sequel that reunites Supergirl, Krypto, and the Zoo-per Sleuths for another mystery-filled adventure. In the Middle Grade category, Princesses of the DC Universe teams Yara Flor, Steel, Miss Martian, and Princess Maxima for a cosmic road trip, while Green Lantern: Destiny concludes Minh Lê and Andie Tong’s trilogy starring Tai Pham.
DC’s Young Adult lineup includes Gotham Academy: First Year, a prequel from the original creative team of Brenden Fletcher, Karl Kerschl, and Becky Cloonan with art by Marco Ferrari. Readers will also meet a brand-new hero in The Manifestations of Bobby Park, a manga-inspired graphic novel by Jeremy Holt and Chong Hou that blends superhero action with themes of identity, family, and self-image.
The biggest publishing initiative may be the arrival of DC Compact Comics Adventures. Building on the success of the Compact Comics line, these editions collect all-ages stories in a smaller, budget-friendly format aimed at new readers and longtime fans alike. The initial wave includes collections spotlighting Batman, Superman, the Justice League, and the Teen Titans.
The new books showcase DC’s continued investment in younger audiences, offering everything from lighthearted adventures and mystery stories to coming-of-age dramas and superhero action. With recognizable heroes, accessible formats, and fresh original stories, the spring 2027 lineup provides plenty of entry points for readers discovering DC for the first time.

The Manifestations of Bobby Park
A fresh new entry into DC’s lineup, blending manga-inspired visuals with superhero storytelling for young adult readers.
Sixteen-year-old Bobby Park is a devoted son, helping at his immigrant parents’ laundromat business in Central City’s Koreatown. Despite their modest income, Bobby’s genius-level aptitude for science and biology earns him a full scholarship to an elite academy, but after a racially charged attack puts his father in the hospital, his stress and anxiety manifest as painful acne that detracts from all his joy and pride. Frustrated by failed attempts to clear up his skin and tired of dissociating to tolerate his life, he takes matters into his own hands, concocting his own cure using the academy’s state-of-the-art facilities.
The trial serum is an instant success but comes at a great cost. Beyond his newly acne-free face, Bobby sees the reflection, and hears the voice, of an alter ego named Atlas Ahn; a muscled extrovert with catalog-model features—the exact opposite of how Bobby sees himself. And when an attack at the academy leaves Bobby critically wounded, Atlas convinces him to take his hand, which unwittingly unleashes a hulking monster known as Gemini.
Jeremy Holt, writer of Made in Korea, and manga artist Chong Hou introduce a new hero to the DC Universe, who must balance falling grades, a love triangle he never expected, and a neighborhood that needs his help more than ever! Can he juggle it all while getting along with a new reflection that vies for control over his body?
