Blizzard services and games down, resulting in failed logins

It’s not just you – players are reporting issues logging into the Battle.net service and associated games such as World of Warcraft.

Blizzard’s authentication servers are experiencing issues, preventing users from logging into Battle.net and associated services, such as World of Warcraft and Call of Duty. Players noticed the issue around 8pm ET.

Blizzard’s customer service Twitter account has noted that they are looking into the issue.

While Blizzard has not commented on the cause of the issue as of yet, Battle.net has history of being targeted in direct denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks. Unfortunately for people looking to play some CoD or kick off their raid week in WoW, all we can do for now is wait. More information on this story as it develops.
