This week, Disney and Marvel Studios released a full trailer for their upcoming MCU movie, The Marvels. Unlike the previous teaser from back in April, this one gives us a boatload of new information about the film.
Let’s take a look at a few of the key highlights:
- The main villain of the movie is a gender swapped Dar-Benn played by Zawe Ashton. Much like in the comics, Dar-Benn is part of the Kree, who obviously aren’t big fans of the Skrulls or Carol Danvers.
- Dar-Benn is somehow messing with the light-based powers of Danvers, Monica Rambeau, and Kamala Khan. This is what led to the crazy post credits sequence at the end of Ms. Marvel‘s first season.
- Dar-Benn appears to be on a revenge-fueled rampage to hurt anyone and anyone planet associated with Carol Danvers. Fortunately, she’s got two other light-based superheroes to help her (which looks like a really fun team to watch).
- Nick Fury is around, looking much more jovial than we’ve seen him recently in Secret Invasion.
- Goose is still adorable and absolutely terrifying.
- I didn’t know I needed an orchestrally enhanced version of ‘Intergalactic’ by the Beastie Boys in my life, but I guess I did.
The Marvels will debut in theaters on November 10, 2023.
