Save with your SDCC 2024 badge at these restaurants

SDCC is expensive, so at least you can save a little when it comes to food.

San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) 2024 is here and over 100,000 people will be gather at the convention center and the surrounding neighborhoods. It’s easy to get caught up on all the activities, but you shouldn’t forget to keep your energy up and take the time to eat a meal.

Here’s a handy guide to places to eat near the convention center where you can save a little cash if you show them your Comic-Con badge. That leaves more spending on those highly sought-after comics, toys, and other collectibles you plan to pick up.

SDCC 2024 SIT DOWN RESTAURANTS

Bronze Bird (910 Broadway Circle)

Bronze Bird can be found in The Westin San Diego Gas Lamp Quarter. It’s a casual restaurant specializing in So-Cal comfort food. They have dishes that can be shared with a group as well as entrees. If you dine in during lunch hours,11:30am-3:30pm, just show your badge and receive 10% off all your food purchases.

The Desmond (1047 5th Avenue)

The Desmond is a restaurant and cocktail bar in the Gas Lamp Quarter. It’s one of San Diego’s hottest dining destinations providing a seasonal menu that features local seafood and produce. Show your badge and this page to receive a 15% discount.

Rei Do Gado Brazilian Steakhouse (939 Fourth Ave)

If you’re looking for a meaty meal, why not try Red Do Gado Brazilian Steakhouse. They have the only mesquite charcoal grill in San Diego, and there is something primal when your meat is brought out on swords and carved at your table. Don’t want the all you can eat? Don’t fret because there are also a la carte options. When you dine in, show your convention badge and this page to receive a 15% discount.

SDCC 2024 FAST CASUAL

Mendocino Farms (180 Broadway Suite 102)

Mendocino Farms provides a new twist on classic dishes. Choose from an assortment of sandwiches, salads, and soups made with fresh ingredients. They have some great sides as well, particularly their spicy curried couscous. From July 24-29, at their Downtown San Diego, Mission Valley, and La Jolla locations, show your SDCC badge and enjoy Buy One Entrée, Get One 50% Off.

The Kebab Shop (630 Ninth Ave)

The Kebab Shop specializes in Mediterranean food where you can purchase wraps, bowls, or plates with different proteins or falafel for the vegetarians. Don’t forget to add their delicious garlic yogurt sauce to make the experience complete. If you’re traveling with your family, come in on Saturday or Sunday to receive one free kids meal with a regular menu item plus fountain drink purchased. The best part? You don’t need an SDCC badge to take advantage of the offer.
