The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is a time to catch cool tech across various fields. Whether at the Las Vegas Convention Center or attending the more intimate events such as Pepcom and Showstoppers, there is no shortage of products to see. We compiled a list of some of the technology that caught our eye at this year’s show.
Cool Tech: Lollipopstar
Not every product at CES needs to be revolutionary and on the frontier of research. Sometimes it can just be fun like Lollipopstar. It combines audio technology with sugary sweets. Enjoy a flavorful lollipop while listening to music from big pop stars via bone conduction. The company partnered with Akon, Ice Spice, and Armani White to create three different items with a specially curated song and a flavor developed with each artist. Choose from Blue Paradise (blue punch and Akon), Peach Pink (white peach and Ice Spice), and Studio Session (lime sea salt and Armani White). The music can be feint in crowded spaces, but it still is an amusing take on candy.

Cool Tech: MONDO Freestyle Headphones
MONDO, not to be confused with the pop culture brand of the same name known for their action figures, vinyl records, and posters, likes to blend vintage charm with modern functionality. In that way, it could even be considered a lifestyle company. The freestyle headphones are eye catching and make you want to find an old walkman to pair it with. It is bluetooth wireless, lightweight, and has a 22 hour battery life. It also comes with two sets of earpads. This choice is more due to aesthetics.

Cool Tech: Wacom Movink PadPro 14
The Wacom Movink PadPro 14 came onto our radar last fall. It’s one thing to read up on the features, and it’s another to see them in action. The Quick drawing function is quite fast for when inspiration strikes and you need to draw. Furthermore, there is a seamless transition from casual sketching to moving into Clip Studio Paint. As much as the Movink PadPro 14 can be used for artwork, it functions as a regular tablet as well where you can watch videos and read eBooks off of.

Cool Tech: TDM Neo hybrid headphone speaker
The TDM Neo hybrid headphone speaker has versatility depending on the mood you’re in. They function as over-ear headphones when on the go and want to listen in private. However, when the party gets started, a simple twist coverts them into speakers that everyone can hear. There’s even a third option playing music out of the speakers as the headphones hang around the neck. It has 200 hours of battery life in headphone mode and 10 hours as speakers.
