Members of Sony’s PlayStation Plus service will have access to three new games starting on May 6: Ark: Survival Ascended, Balatro, and Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun. Sony announced the new crop of games on their PlayStation blog.

PlayStation Plus games May 2025
- Ark: Survival Ascended (PS5) is a remaster of 2015’s Ark: Survival Evolved, a survival sim where players will need to tame and fight alongside hundreds of species of dinosaurs. Play alone, with a friend via couch co-op, or with up to 70 players in public online multiplayer. Originally released on PlayStation 5 on November 30, 2023 by Studio Wildcard.
- Balatro (PS4/PS5) took the world by storm when it released early last year on just about every platform known to man by single developer LocalThunk. Described as “roguelike card game”, players start off building standard poker hands before gaining access to Joker cards that wildly break open the game. It needs to be played to fully understand how addicting it can be.
- Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun (PS4/PS5) is a first-person shooter set in the Warhammer universe published by Focus Entertainment. The game released originally on May 23, 2023, and evokes classic ’90s shooters like Doom with its pixelated graphics.
With every new month of games to claim means the window to claim last month’s games is coming to an end. Players will have until May 5 to claim RoboCop: Rogue City, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, and Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory.
