We have a variety of series for our Channel Surfing TV picks this week.

We have a variety of series for our Channel Surfing TV picks this week. The next video game adaptation premieres with Splinter Cell: Deathwatch. A new season of Loot begins. Then, explore the complicated relationship between two siblings and their father in Hal & Harper.

Stealth Mode

Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell is a popular video game franchise. In it, protagonist Sam Fisher sets out on a number of espionage missions as a member of a black ops organization. Now the agent has a new adventure set in the animated world.

Splinter Cell: Deathwatch finds Fisher drawn back into the field when a younger operative requests his help. Together, they must get to the bottom of a global conspiracy. The series is written by Derek Kolstad who is best known for his work in the John Wick films.

Stream Splinter Cell: Deathwatch beginning Tuesday, October 14, on Netflix.

Hail to the Queen

Molly Wells isn’t entirely like other billionaires. Though she still enjoys an extravagant life, she also heads a foundation where she hopes her wealth can make a positive impact on the world. When we last left Loot, Molly wasn’t in a good place. Not only did her fellow billionaires chastise her for her philanthropy, but she suffers some heartbreak as well. As a result, she was boarding a plane to get as far away from home as possible.

The new season finds Molly experiencing highs and lows. She is still a pariah amongst the billionaires and she and her assistant survive a horrific plane crash. On the positive side, it seems as though Molly and Arthur are ready to explore their feelings for each other.

The first two episodes of Loot season three release Wednesday, October 15, on Apple TV+.

Family Is Complicated

Hal and Harper are two siblings that have developed a close relationship into adulthood partially due to their shared pain growing up. They begin to reassess their lives when their father announces that he will soon have a baby with his current girlfriend.

Hal & Harper is an eight-episode miniseries created by Cooper Raif. It stars Raif, Lili Reinhart, Mark Ruffalo, and Betty Gilpin. Raif and Reinhart also play the child versions of their characters in recurring flashbacks that explore their past trauma.

Hal & Harper premieres Sunday, October 19, on Mubi.
