Superman: The Kryptonite Spectrum #4 is another bold, reality-warping triumph from W. Maxwell Prince and Martín Morazzo. By blending surreal art, meta-textual experiments, and heartfelt character moments, it pushes the boundaries of superhero storytelling while celebrating everything strange and wonderful about the DC Universe. It’s bizarre, beautiful, and unmistakably brilliant.

‘Event Horizon: Dark Descent’ #3 is a blood-soaked descent into despair
Event Horizon: Dark Descent #3 is a masterclass in cosmic horror – a blood-soaked descent into despair that’s as artful as it is agonizing. Christian Ward and Tristan Jones continue to prove this adaptation is transcending the cult film, blending visceral terror with philosophical weight. If there’s a hell in comics, it looks (and sounds) like this.

#3: DIE: Loaded #1
DIE: Loaded’s first issue is both a fine return and a strong start. Hans and Gillen are playing with the narrative rules they established in the first run in fun ways, the setting remains rich with possibilities, and the new leads make a fine first showing. It’s a game worth following and a comic worth reading.

#2: Mr. Terrific: Year One #6
Mr. Terrific: Year One #6 delivers an emotionally resonant, thematically rich conclusion that elevates both Michael Holt’s personal journey and his place in the DC Universe. Al Letson’s final chapter reshapes the entire series with a powerful narration reveal, deepens Holt’s emotional arc, and positions both Mr. Terrific and Athena Prescott for meaningful futures. At the same time, the art team delivers standout, emotionally charged, and character-driven moments. A fulfilling and heartfelt finale and miniseries.

#1: Supergirl #7
Campbell delivers another strong story in Supergirl #7, much in the same vein as her Halloween story in issue #6. Though she centers her story on a major theme of Thanksgiving (family and friendship) with a Disney flavor, she also manages to squeeze in an acknowledgement of the holiday’s ugly truth without distracting from the larger point of her story.
