Hideo Itami is coming to 205 Live

WWE sends more star power to its Cruiserweight division.

WWE has made several steps to try to increase the relevancy of its Cruiserweight division, including making fan favorite Enzo Amore the Cruiserweight Champion and anchor of the 205 Live brand. You can now add Hideo Itami to the list of big names who’ve joined the division recently, as WWE began running vignettes teasing Hideo Itami’s arrival on 205 Live.

Itami, formerly KENTA, was one of the biggest signees in NXT history when he arrived in 2014. A pair of serious injuries, however, seriously hindered his momentum and ascent to the top of the card. A heel turn earlier this year instilled some level of optimism in the character — hopefully he can continue to build momentum on the purple brand, as well as get more viewers for the Cruiserweights on Tuesday nights.
