Marvel announces Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order – Dark Temple #1

The story expands around theupcoming single player action-adventure game.

Today in a special edition of Marvel’s Pull List, hosts Ryan Penagos, and Tucker Markus were joined by a very special guest, Matthew Rosenberg. The Uncanny X-Men and Punisher writer dropped by to help announce Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order #1, coming this September.

Rosenberg will be writing the story, with Paolo Villanelli handling the art department. Both creators have experience with the galaxy far, far, away. Rosenberg recently helped revive the original legends Star Wars series that ended at issue #107, with a brand new issue, #108, in celebration of 80 years of Marvel comics. Villanelli is actively working on the Star Wars: Vader – Dark Visions series, and also did pencils for Star Wars: Age of the Republic Special, and Star Wars: Lando – Double or Nothing.

The series will lead into the highly anticipated upcoming third-person single player action-adventure game from Lucasfilm and Respawn Entertainment, Star Wars: Jedi Fall Order.

The synopsis for issue #1 reads, “In the Glory Days of the Republic, the Jedi Council has sent a Jedi Master and his Padawan to a remote planet to oversee the peaceful excavation of a mysterious temple that has been uncovered…but they will come to find that what surrounds the temple may be even more dangerous than the mysteries within it.”
