Join in now: Gail Simone launches #ComicWritersChallenge to help raise funds for Black Lives Matter

Support Black Lives Matter with #ComicWritersChallenge on Twitter.

Yesterday, Gail Simone tweeted about auctioning art that means a lot to her and asking other comic book writers to do the same to support Black Lives Matter.

Listen to the latest episode of our weekly comics podcast!

They answered the call.

Over the last 24 hours, creators like Mark Russell, Tim Seeley, Denton J. Tipton, Jody Houser, and Marc Guggenheim have joined in just to name a few. Even artists who aren’t in the industry have contributed. Many of these auctions are still running so don’t delay and jump into the auctioning now! Search #ComicWritersChallenge on Twitter now to find all the auctioning opportunities to get in on helping a great cause.

Possibly the “hottest” comic art to be auctioned was from Tim Seeley as he is auctioning (you have until June 8th) Ethan Van Sciver’s Cyberfrog page. It has the most retweets and likes so far for the #ComicWritersChallenge. Check that out below.

You don’t need to join in auctions to help Black Lives Matter. Go to their site and donate today if you have the means.

At the end of the day today, Simone tweeted her thanks, but there’s more to come. Get your wallets ready fans as Tom Taylor–and likely many more–are joining in tomorrow.
