Adventures in Movies! Episode 83: Trying to adapt

The book is better?

Danny, Blake, and Nathaniel take a look at some of the best and worst adaptations of all time. From comic books to television, the boys run the gamut of redone work. Which ones surprised them and what do they dread seeing?

The show starts with some big news. The three talk about the Dune trailer, what they think of the Mulan controversy, and why the changes to the Oscars is as depressing as it is needed. On this week’s What You Need to Know, the trio talk about memes and movies. The importance of viral marketing, its effectiveness, and how it snuck up on them are all discussed.

This week’s main segment is about adaptations. Obviously, Stephen King is discussed. Even less surprising is how he fits in both the best and worst. The guys also talk about what they hope to see and what surprised them.
