Marvel announces ‘Phoenix Song: Echo’ #1 for October 2021

‘Phoenix Song: Echo’ will debut new heroes and promise the return of an iconic X-Men villain.

Press Release

Marvel Comics is getting back into the saddle with the Phoenix Force after Jason Aaron utilized the character in Avengers in a new series called Phoenix Song: Echo. The new series is written by Hugo Award winning novelist Rebecca Roanhorse with artist Luc Maresca. Roanhorse wrote a Echo story in Marvel’s Voices: Indigenous Voices #1 and in this new story Marvel promises to debut new heroes as well as the return of an X-Men villain. The series will debut on October 6, 2021, in comic book shops.

“I am excited to return to Echo in her first solo series and follow this thrilling new direction Jason Aaron has taken her,” said Roanhorse. “Readers will see some old favorites reimagined and some entirely new characters as Echo comes to terms with the incredible and dangerous powers of the Phoenix.”
