Upcoming ‘The Boys’ spinoff will be called ‘Gen V’

‘Gen V’ will follow college-aged supes as they compete for city contracts in a crazy college setting.

On Friday, social media accounts for Prime Video’s The Boys finally revealed the title for their upcoming college-themed spinoff: Gen V. The announcement was delivered in a slightly NSFW video featuring the show’s primary cast, which will consist of:

  • Lizzy Broadway as Emma Shaw
  • Asa Germann
  • Derek Luh
  • Chance Perdomo
  • Maddie Phillips
  • Patrick Schwarzenegger as Golden Boy
  • Jaz Sinclair as Marie Moreau
  • London Thor

Watch the announcement video below.

This was followed by some individual photos of the cast, who gleefully provided a hand gesture that means something very different in England than it does in America.

There were also a couple of main cast members we didn’t see. One was Sean Patrick Thomas, who will play a supe named Polarity. The other is Marco Pigossi, who will play a character named Doctor Edison Cardosa.

Based on what the cast has to say, it sounds like Amazon is sticking very close to the original logline for the series, which you can read below:

Set at America’s only college exclusively for young-adult superheroes (run by Vought International), [Gen V] is an irreverent, R-rated series that explores the lives of hormonal, competitive Supes as they put their physical, sexual, and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the best contracts in the best cities. It’s part college show, part Hunger Games—with all the heart, satire, and raunch of The Boys.
